You needed to do this Jocko and set the story straight because even as a retired veteran myself (2012), a couple questions did arise. It didn't make sense when I heard the accusations. Had that happened the entire NAVSPECWARCOM along with JSOC and SOCOM would've stopped it in its tracks and made an example out of Jocko and Task Force Bruiser. That is 110% fact.

I don’t know about any of these other claims. I was in Baghdad (sadr city) around the same time and can absolutely attest that most of the claims are highly unlikely. Given the stated scrutiny all of us were under at the time. The one thing I can confirm is the seals reluctance to communicate with the conventional forces in the area to deconflict the battle-space. The seals in sadr city were definitely some pre madonnas and it almost cost them their life at the end of a 25mm Bradley chain gun. Then they demanded we escorted them out of the area because we “compromised their hide site”. After they intentionally gave us the wrong grid coordinates after many many requests for it. But I don’t want to paint all seals with a brush because of one unit on one long night in a crazy environment.

Have the guy on and let the truth be known one way or the other. Hard for me to think jocko would do this. Kind of hard to trust anything this top military brass says these days though after all the cover ups.

I am sure i will catch hate for asking these questions from all the jocko fan boys. Based on the moral stance Jocko comes from i would think he would appreciate people asking questions when stuff like this comes out. Jocko never once responded to the fellow SEAL who brought up these questions and issues. The guy has no social media footprint aside from showing concern and appear on the podcast that he did to discuss the topic. Otherwise i am unaware of him having any youtube content ect. He doesn't appear to be selling anything or creating a image for himself. He was also consigned by other special forces in regards to this issue, believe the other guy was Delta or something who was also involved in the pod discussing these issues. Jocko also didn't respond to the statements regards his poor performance grading from his deployment. I appreciate jockos service and hope all of this will be cleared up but in reality jockos response really didn't resolve anything. He stated that there was no way any of this could have happened and then went into the sacrifice of dead brothers and that it is shameful to bring up anything that may disparage the team/ task unit, which kind of seemed like turning things into a emotional interaction rather than a factual one. It has been pretty well documented in books, interviews and podcasts (let alone legal cases) that some of the SF community really did go off the rails and do pretty bad shit. I would like to hear jocko discuss these situations a little more specifically. I know jocko is a real inspiration to alot of people with the war hero speeches and dark shadow images during his podcasts but dont be afraid to verify and think for yourself when information like this comes out. Jocko comes across as a great guy and is a good example for alot of young men, no doubt. But dont ever think you should discount information that is presented about your heros/role models. Take the time to do the research and make a educated decision.

I'm sorry, but maybe there needs to be a situation where there's a courtcase or investigation to clear your name or get to the bottom of these accusations. The claims made by Eric were pretty incredible, which means that they're either horrifying truths or horrifying lies. Either way, it can't go unaddressed. Eric didn't lie about the John Chapman incident or the Operation Red Wings incident, and even comments that situations he's not familiar with are things he won't comment on. This gives him a bit of credibility, so if he's outright lying about you, Chris Kyle, and Bruiser, then it needs to be confronted in a legal way to address it. Names need to be cleared here, or people need to see consequences.

Recently there are some content creators going after Jocko for things that happened in Iraq while he was at Taskforce Bruiser. Basically saying that he was poor leader, his guys were out of control and some people died as result. None of the accusers where actually there. They are just clout chasing hoping jocko will have some type of interaction that will get a bunch attention so they can sell merch...

The other thing, I’m not sure who overinflated your balloon but there were two wars that stretched almost 20 years. There were other SEAL task units in the years before and after believe it or not…… hundreds! The difference between your story and the other TU CDRs that had just as much or more success is that they didn’t feel the need to sell out at the level you did and currently are.
